Es ist eines der letzten von Hans Poelzig realisierten Geb\u00e4ude .<\/p>\n<p>Von Hans Poelzig stammt nicht nur der Entwurf des Geb\u00e4udes am Rathausplatz Nr. 2 in Wolgast, er entwarf auch mehrere M\u00f6belst\u00fccke f\u00fcr die Inneneinrichtung.<\/p>\n<p>Das Geb\u00e4ude wurde errichtet f\u00fcr eine Niederlassung der Sparkasse des Kreises Greifswald. Zu Zeiten der DDR befand sich hier eine Filiale der Staatsbank der DDR. Mai 2013 ist im Museum Wolgast zudem die Ausstellung &#8222;Das Leben und Schaffen Hans Poelzigs&#8220; zu sehen, Wolgast ist die letzte Station der Reise der <a title=\"Hans Poelzig Ausstellung\" href=\"http:\/\/www.2mecs.de\/wp\/2007\/11\/poelzig\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ausstellung \u00fcber Hans Poelzig, die Ende 2007 auch bereits in\u00a0 der Akademie der K\u00fcnste in Berlin zu sehen war<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>[1]<\/strong> Das Hinweisschild am Geb\u00e4ude selbst (siehe Fotos) nennt als Bau-Datum das Jahr 1920. Nahezu alle anderen Verzeichnisse der Werke von Hans Poelzig f\u00fchren dieses Geb\u00e4ude jedoch als &#8222;Kreissparkasse, Wolgast, 1931 &#8211; 1932&#8220;.
