Das Kontorhaus steht seit 2003 unter Denkmalschutz. In den Jahren von 1965 bis 2005 hie\u00df es DAG-Haus. Seit 2005 tr\u00e4gt das Geb\u00e4ude den Namen Brahms-Kontor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Karl Opfermann (1891 – 1960)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Karl Opfermann wurde am 28. September 1891 in der damaligen
R\u00f8dding Kommune<\/a> in Nordschleswig geboren. Nach einer Jugendzeit in Flensburg studierte er an der Kunstgewerbeschule Hamburg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Er war befreudet mit Ernst Barlach<\/a>. Opfermann war (wie u.a. Eduard Bargheer) Mitglied der K\u00fcnstlergruppe Hamburgische Sezession (1919 bis 1933). Ab 1932 unterhielt er ein Atelier in der Villa Ohlendorff<\/a> in Hamm. Diese Villa wurde 1872 bis 1874 von Architekt Martin Haller<\/a> (auch Architekt der Laeiszhalle) f\u00fcr den Kaufmann (gr\u00f6\u00dfter Guano-Importeur) Heinrich Ohlendorff errichtet, der privat in Volksdorf<\/a> auf seinem Gut lebte (heute Ohlendorffsche Villa). Die Villa in Hamm wurde ab 1930 (bis zur Zerst\u00f6rung 1943 bei einem Luftangriff) als K\u00fcnstlerhaus der Sezession genutzt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In der NS-Zeit wurden einige Werke Opfermanns als ‚entartete Kunst‘ beschlagnahmt. Er arbeitet in dieser Zeit u.a. an der Ausstattung von Kasernen (auch Hitler-B\u00fcste).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Opfermann starb am 7. M\u00e4rz 1960 in Ahrensburg, wo er seit 1948 lebte. Er wurde auf dem Friedhof Ohlsdorf beigesetzt.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
